The three passengers in the car are lucky to have only been hurt and not lost their lives.
The bus-car accident happened right before the hour of 9 a.m. when a Metropolitan Transit System city bus slammed into the compact vehicle at the intersection of Douglas and Van Houten avenues in El Cajon. Emergency crews arrived on the scene, where they found the driver of the car passed out and not breathing. They used the jaws-of-life to pry all of the injured persons out of the car and rush them to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego for medical treatment, along with two passengers on the MTS bus who got hurt.
At the moment, there is no known cause for the accident.
