Fatal Roll-Over Car Accident In San Diego

For truck, SUV and minivan drivers, roll-over car accidents are a constant concern.

Large automobiles are far more likely to roll-over than smaller cars because their narrow track width often makes them unstable during sudden turns or changes of direction.  Roll-over accidents are often times the most tragic as these accidents result in significant injury or even the wrongful death of many Americans each year.

That was the case today when a 62-year old Los Angeles man was killed when he was involved in a roll-over truck accident. Alberto Cuevas Ibarra, of Hawthorne was driving when his truck suddenly struck the center divider and rolled over on Interstate 805 near Mira Mesa Boulevard.

More than 280,000 rollover accidents are reported each year, taking more than 10,000 lives annually in the U.S.

While the cause of the car accident is not yet known, distracted driving and drowsy driving are two of the top causes of roll-over accidents.  At times nothing can stop a car accident from happening, but by obeying all traffic laws and practicing safe driving practices you could help prevent a car accident from occuring.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), more than 280,000 rollover accidents are reported each year, taking more than 10,000 lives annually in the United States alone.
