The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that a sedan was traveling north on Interstate-5 when the accident occurred a few clicks south of the county-line truck-weigh station. The driver, Alen Nazarian, lost control of the car shortly before 10 p.m. According to reports, the sedan was speeding at the time of the accident, causing it to rollover and have all the window’s blown out when the roof collapsed on itself.
Nazarian passed away at the crash site, but it is still undetermined if another passenger in the vehicle was ejected and what condition they are currently in at the moment. Authorities have dispatched a helicopter to search for the other passenger, who might have walked away from the scene of the accident, if he or she is in need of medical treatment.
