Former Football Star/Actor Arrested For DUI

Former NFL star, now actor, Brian Bosworth, 43, was arrested in the early morning of Friday, March 6, 2009 in Los Angeles on suspicion of drunk driving while he was driving his motorcyle around town.

Our motorcycle accident attorneys have absolutely no tolerance for those who drink and drive.  Without regard for anyone’s safety on the road, people who drink and drive cause way too many car accidents.  Add to it that this former athlete was doing so on his motorcycle, well he is very lucky that he did not cause a wrongful death to himself or to someone else.

The controversial linebacker for the Seattle Seahawks in the late 1980s was stopped by police, who noticed that his Harley Davidson motorcycle did not have a license plate, on Hollywood Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m.  After failing a breathalyzer test, Bosworth was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI).

Known for his hard-hitting play and radical hairstyles, “The Boz” was a standout linebacker at the University of Oklahoma and a high draft pick of the Seahawks.  After retiring three years into his rookie-record 10-year, $11 million football contract due to a personal injury to his shoulder, Bosworth focused his hard gaze on the silver screen and became an actor.  His movie credits include Stone Cold, Virus, Three Kings and The Longest Yard.

The motorcycle accident attorneys at our firm are always amazed that someone will drink and then decide to get behind the wheel of a moving vehicle, especially when there are so many ways to prevent DUIs from taking place in your community.
