Our DUI accident lawyers have said time and again that celebrities should not be given special treatment for breaking laws on the road that put everyone in danger, such as drunk driving. Luckily, only a few minor personal injuries will be the result of this accident and no one else had to suffer at the hands of an irresponsible reality TV character.
The drunk-driving accident occurred in Montville, New Jersey earlier this month. Gludice got behind the wheel of his truck after having one too many and crashed it into a pole on the side of the road. His demolished car took the brunt of the impact, but Gludice had a list of criminal charges written up at the hospital where he was transported to for medical treatment.
For the moment, Gludice has been charged with reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, and driving under the influence of alcohol. These three things could have all been avoided, especially the DUI, because drunk-driving is completely preventable.
We all know celebrities make mistakes from time to time, but do we really want to watch people who put our lives at risk? Why do you think celebrities get into these kinds of accidents more often than average people like us?
