Lakeside Truck Accident Injures Teen Girl

Look both ways before you cross the street — that little reminder designed to prevent pedestrian accidents a young age – but even with those wise words, some people still put their lives at risk and cross busy streets with heavy traffic.

A truck accident occurred in Lakeside, California when a 55-year-old motorist hit a 13-year-old girl trying to cross the street and catch up with a group of friends.  Try as she might, the driver of the pick up truck could not do enough to prevent the pedestrian accident.

The truck accident attorneys at our law firm know that any car crash on the road can cause serious personal injuries, but that truck accidents are even worse because of the size and weight of some of these trucks.  Luckily for everyone involved this pedestrian didn’t cause a wrongful death.

The Lakeside motorist was traveling south at 40 mph on Winter Gardens Boulevard when the girl darted in front truck at the intersection with Lemon Crest Drive.  While the driver saw the girl, she reacted too late and hit the girl.

After the truck side-swiped her, the young girl was taken to the hospital and is undergoing medical treatment for undetermined injuries.

So remember, for goodness sake, look both ways and do not cross the street if you see a car coming.
