May the force be with everyone heading to the San Diego Convention Center from July 23-26, 2009. The San Diego Comic-Con is the biggest comic book convention in the United States. Every year, hundreds of thousands of fans dressed in the most outrageous costumes flock to the convention center.
With these crowds comes the added possibility of pedestrian accidents. People may not be paying attention to traffic, and instead, they are distracted by the Marvel character across the street. Our pedestrian accident attorneys want to do what we can to prevent personal injury in large gatherings of people like the San Diego Comic-Con.

Huge crowds like this are sure to be a factor at the San Diego Comic-Con, possibly leading to pedestrian accidents.
The San Diego Convention Center is located on one of the busiest streets, and that is often the case when there is a convention. The convention center also has trolley tracks for the Orange Line of the San Diego Metro Transit System, adding another potential pedestrian accident.
Patrons attending the convention should always be careful when walking around in that area. Forgetting to pay attention at the wrong time could lead to a pedestrian accident, personal injury or wrongful death. For example, say you are approaching an intersection. While you are trying to check out the guy with the perfect Darth Vader outfit, you fail to notice the light is red. Next thing you know, you are hit by a car and suffer a serious personal injury.
The most important thing to remember when attending festivals like this: Right of way or not, always be mindful of your surroundings and never attempt to dart across traffic. Even if you think you can make it, the driver of the car traveling towards you may not see you, and you might get hit. This can lead to needing medical treatment depending on the severity of the injury.
If you aren’t Wolverine and can’t heal yourself, you’ll need to go to a hospital to get treated, but do you know how or where to get treatment? Our pedestrian accident attorneys have a resource page on getting medical treatment, and the links include information on which doctors to choose or finding a hospital nearby.
As pedestrian accident attorneys, we want everyone to be safe while attending the San Diego Comic-Con, but we can only do so much. Patrons should rely on their own common sense and not their “Spider Sense” when it comes to avoiding pedestrian accidents.
The Incredible Hulk can shrug off a car accident, but a normal human cannot.
