Young Driver & Speeding Leads To Deadly Car Accident

Another young life was taken prematurely when a 20-year old driver lost control in a fatal one-car accident after speeding in Kearny Mesa in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 6, 2009.

Yaser Ali Sayah, 20, died when a 1999 BMW 323i ran off a curve on the south side of Route 52, was in a rollover car accident, flipped several times and ejected several people from the car.

Our car accident lawyers know from experience that teenage drivers tend to cause the most accidents and, while Sayah was technically not a teenager, he was still inexperienced enough behind the wheel to cause the wrongful deaths of several passengers.

The driver was ejected during the car accident and suffered serious injuries to his right hand.  A 21-year old in the backseat was also thrown from the car and had cuts to his face and hands, while a 19-year old, also in the backseat, walked away from the auto accident scene.  Police do not believe the driver was driving under the influence (DUI) at the time of the auto accident.

This is just the latest example of a young driver committing two errors in judgment.  He was driving his car while speeding and driving recklessly, and his friend is now dead as a result.

The experienced car accident lawyers at our firm hope that all young drivers heed these warning signs.  Speeding lowers a driver’s time to react and raises the possibility of losing control of an automobile.  These things lead to car accidents, and they lead to wrongful deaths as well.  How many more must die before our nation’s youth learns to drive cars safer?

Make sure that you and your teen drivers are insured by the best auto insurance policy that you can afford — it might just help save a few lives out there on the road.
