One individual took his final car ride on Saturday, January 3, 2009, and police are left wondering how it all went up in flames.

A resident of Florida, the man died in an apparent single-car accident during which the 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo he was driving left the roadway and crashed into a tree, rolled over and became engulfed in flames at around 4:15 in the morning in Lake Wales, Florida.  His charred remains were found inside the auto after firefighters put out the fire.

The car was registered to his sister who gave him permission to drive it, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

The San Diego car accident lawyers who work at our firm know that any time fire is involved in an accident, it usually leads to severe burn injuries, if not death.  Those who survive accidents like this are usually emotionally traumatized for the rest of their lives.

While the car accident and cause of death are as yet undetermined, with an autopsy scheduled the next day, the 26-year old, a registered felon, should not have been behind the wheel.  Already booked to jail 12 times, the driver was not a responsible driver in the least bit.  His charges included violation of parole (for driving under the influence — DUI), driving with a suspended or revoked license, leaving the scene of a crash and fleeing to elude a police officer.

Our firm’s San Diego car accident lawyers are always asking people to take care when driving.  This was an individual who obviously was not careful or lawful while driving a car.  His wrongful death is tragic, but he was an individual who did not learn from his mistakes on the road.

As a result, his life ended in a fatal car accident.
