In Los Angeles, California, a man and his wife panicked after their car ran into two college students, in a pedestrian accident that tragically turned into a wrongful death.

The 32-year-old man is accused of being involved in the hit-and-run automobile death of a University of Southern California student.  He claims that he and his wife, 30, panicked after their car slammed into two people, but insists the car crash was an accident.

Our firm’s pedestrian accident lawyers know how serious hit-and-run car accidents can be, especially if they are in conjunction with a pedestrian accident that turns into a wrongful death.

“It was a very bad accident.  We were just scared.  I didn’t know what to do. We both didn’t know what to do,” he said.  The couple’s seven-month-old son was in the backseat of the automobile at the time of the car accident.

The two individuals maintain that they did not see the pedestrians, both teens, as they crossed the intersection.  One of the teens was killed in the fatal auto accident and Garfinkle suffered personal injuries from the pedestrian accident.

Authorities have accused the allegedly offending driver of pulling one of the teens off the hood of his car after the pedestrian accident and dumping him in the street near a firehouse after his wife allegedly ran a red light near the college campus.
