Personal Injury Attorneys & Car Accident Lawyers San Diego's Most Trusted Personal Injury Law Firm since 1992

The driver of a Chevy truck is lucky to be alive today after falling asleep at the wheel of his automobile and causing a single-car accident.

San Anselmo police shut down Sir Francis Drake Boulevard on the afternoon of Monday, February 9, 2009 after a driver fell asleep, went off the road and struck a power pole in a single-truck accident shortly before 2 p.m.

“The driver said that he fell asleep,” police Sgt. Rob Schneider said.  “There were no signs of intoxication.”

The driver was able to walk away from the auto accident scene after the rudest of wakeup calls.

Our car accident lawyers hope you understand that drowsy driving causes car accidents.  Drivers fall asleep at the wheel pretty often, and you need to be observant for signs of a drowsy driver.  If you find yourself getting sleepy at the wheel, safely pull over and try to take a brief nap or switch places with another licensed driver in the car (if they are not drowsy either).

Be care and you will be able to sleep in your own house — instead of a hospital bed after an auto accident.
