The former face of the NBC nightly news, Tom Brokaw, survived an auto accident involving three cars in New York. Unfortunatley, the crash took the life of a motorist in a green SUV and another passenger needed to be transported to local hospital.

As Brokaw and his wife, Meredith, were traveling down New York’s Bruckner Expressway, the spool was rolling towards traffic in the far right lane. The woman driving the green SUV in the right lane steered to avoided it, but instead slammed into a mail truck. Like a series of dominos falling, the mail truck eventually veered into Brokaw’s lane.
Brokaw tried to hit his car’s brakes, but his automobile still skidded into the mail truck after it had hoped the median. Tragically, the 28-year-old driver of the green SUV was killed in the fatal car accident after she was ejected from her automobile during the crash.
All of the other motorists and passengers were unscathed and experienced no personal injuries from the car crash – except for one man who had to be transported by an ambulence to receive medical treatment.
