Even the biggest and toughest men on the planet can get a little shaken up when it comes to a car accident.

Eric Wright, cornerback for the Cleveland Browns, is lucky to be alive after his rollover auto accident on a wet highway ramp this past week.  In fact, he’s so lucky that he has been cleared of all personal injuries and will resume his position on the field come his teams next game.

Cleveland Browns cornerback Eric Wright was luckily uninjured in a rollover car accident early Friday morning.

“This was my first accident ever,” Wright explained to the press.  ”I’m not the oldest guy, but I’ve been driving for a while.  To have an accident like that, first time around it’s really scary.”

Our car accident lawyers will agree on this point–automobile accidents are a scary thing because you have lost control of your vehicle.  When rollover auto accidents happen, they are usually accompanied by personal injuries or can turn into fatal car crashes.

Weather conditions were bad the night that Wright was entering Interstate 490 from Interstate 77 east of downtown. His vehicle slid on a patch of wet pavement and he realized the situation was out of his hands, causing the rollover car accident.

Call it karma or just good luck, but only Wright’s car sustained damages.  And, to the relief of his teammates and coaches, both the MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland and the Browns’ team trainers have cleared Wright for his football game on Sunday against Green Bay.

Wright’s Cleveland teammate Donte Stallworth was not as lucky when his DUI auto accident caused the wrongful death a pedestrian.

Make sure you and your passengers are buckled securely and properly in the seatbelts of your car and that children under the age of 12 are never put in the front seat.  Sometimes the game of life throws you a blitz, but you can always opt for the safety.

And if you do get fouled?  Know all your options for medical treatment before deciding which one is going to be the most beneficial for you.  As the saying goes, “a good offense is a strong defense.”
