Personal Injury Attorneys & Car Accident Lawyers San Diego's Most Trusted Personal Injury Law Firm since 1992

Ever since a fatal car accident on December 30, 2006, music star Brandy has had a tough road back to the top of the charts.  The fact that she is hosting concerts at small venues is both a sign of the economic times, and the strength of Brandy as a current draw.

It all went wrong the day before New Year’s Eve in 2006 when her failure to stop caused a four-car accident and one wrongful death.

Distracted driving by Brandy led to a fatal car accident in 2005.

Our car accident lawyers see our fair share of wrongful death accidents.  Driver carelessness and inattentiveness are major auto accident causations.  Cell phones and other distractions can cause driver inattentiveness so that is why we are strong advocates of eliminating any and all distractions that drivers may face on the road.

The fatal auto accident happened at 10:30 a.m. on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles. Brandy was driving her 2007 Land Rover at 65 mph and failed to notice that cars in front of her had slowed considerably.

Because of her driver inattentiveness, her car caused an auto accident with a 2005 Toyota. That Toyota then had a car accident with a 1989 Toyota before sliding sideways into the center divider in a single-car accident.  Before it came to a complete stop, it was struck by a again by a 1988 Acura in yet another auto accident.

The driver of the 2005 Toyota, 38-year-old Awatef Aboudihaj, married mother of one, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital in critical condition and died the next day.  Her family is suing Brandy for $50 million for her wrongful death.

A woman is dead after a car accident caused by driver inattentiveness, how many more must die before we solve this problem?
