The world’s best golfer, Tiger Woods, was treated and released from a hospital and is in good condition after getting into a single car accident on early Friday morning.
Woods lost control of his Cadillac sport-utility vehicle and crashed into a tree after hitting a fire hydrant in his neighbor’s yard while pulling out of his driveway at about 2:30 a.m. Woods has admitted the car accident was his fault in a statement made through his website.

“The only person responsible for the accident is me,” Woods said. “My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me.”
Our car accident lawyers see this car accident as a way to bring up two points. The first point is that no matter how great of a celebrity you are; the potential for a car accident is always possible. Second, it just goes to show you never know what’s going to happen when you’re driving – even when you’re backing out of your own driveway. If you are driving at a slow rate of speed, other cars may not be.
According to Florida law officials, Woods had cuts to his lips and blood in his mouth. Woods’ wife used a golf club to smash a window in the Cadillac to pull her husband out of the car after the crash knocked Woods unconscious for about six minutes.
Florida police have stated alcohol was not involved in the car accident, and an investigation is underway.
Driveways can be hazardous because some drivers may not be paying attention to traffic coming out. Our car accident attorneys want to remind all drivers — celebrities and non-celebrities — that car accidents can happen at any time. Be sure to look every way when backing out of your driveway or driving down the street or on the highway. You never know what could happen.
Not everyone has the kind of money that Tiger Woods has, but if you’re involved in a car accident, you can protect your assets by making sure you have the best car insurance policy for your resources.
