A car accident injured four San Diego fire fighters in East County this past weekend when an alleged drunk driver crashed into their truck, according to San Diego 6 News.

A suspected drunk driver crashed into a fire truck, injuring four of the firefighters on board.

The car accident occurred along a two-lane street just north of Alpine, near the Viejas Casino, on the morning of June 13, 2010, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials.

The fire truck, which was responding to a medical emergency, was speeding along the road when a woman, 25, pulled out from the Viejas parking lot and in front of the fire truck.  Property damage included the ripping away of the fire truck’s front axle, which flew all the way into The woman was arrested on suspicion felony of driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.  He suffered a broken wrist and four of the firemen sustained minor injuries that were treated at the scene.
