A 52-year old individual riding a motorcycle was killed after slamming into a 1964 Ford at an Oceanside intersection. Unfortunately, accidents like this are all too common in the San Diego area, frequently leaving some passengers or drivers with fatal injuries and others with catastrophic injuries they may continue to feel for many years to come.
When accidents like this happen, it is pertinent to get medical attention as soon as possible as well as consult with a personal injury attorney to determine whether or not they are bound for a personal injury claim. In this particular recent accident, the Ford was sitting at a stop sign at Cassidy Street and Broadway when the motorcycle rode through the intersection at a high speed. A fatal motorcycle crash can form the basis of a wrongful death claim.
The individual riding the motorcycle was ejected from the bike when the crash occurred. The motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead and authorities are still investigating whether or not drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, although speed almost certainly was a factor.
If you have recently been involved in an accident where someone rode through a stop sign or a stop light, or was otherwise traveling at an excessive speed and unable to stop safely, you may be entitled to recover compensation in a personal injury claim after speaking with an experienced attorney.
