One individual was taken to the hospital last week after a crash near San Diego State University. The car accident involved three different vehicles and happened at 8:25 pm on Montezuma Road and Campanile Drive. The vehicle that caused the accident was travelling in the wrong direction on Montezuma Road when it hit a black SUV as well as a pickup truck that was turning left. The driver of the car that caused the accident was taken to Mercy Hospital with critical injuries.

While police conducted an investigation, Montezuma Road was closed off in both directions and in between 55th Street and College Street. If you are involved in a serious car accident in San Diego, it is important to stay at the scene until the accident has been reported and until the paramedics or police arrive.

Leaving the scene of the accident could be problematic for you down the road particularly if another party is alleging that you caused the accident and perpetrated a hit and run. It is a good idea to stay at the scene and take pictures of the accident damage and to document what happened in the official police report. This may prove helpful for you down the road.
