A Pennsylvania husband and wife were both charged with drunken driving in the same car crash after their car hit a tree.  The two individuals were charged with drunken driving when police discovered their car in a nearby mobile home park.

Our firm’s San Diego car accident lawyers know that driving under the influence of alcohol is one of the top causes of car accidents, and as a result, police are cracking down on drunk-drivers.  Drinking and driving should NEVER be considered an option.  The effects are always bad.  Drinking diminishes your ability to drive because alcohol can hinder your reflexes.  After a few drinks, split-second decisions take longer and that is often what causes car accidents.

Witnesses told police the woman was driving when the car crashed into the tree, and say that the man drove the car to the mobile home park after the car accident.  However, the man claimed he was driving when the car hit the tree.  Either way, both were given DUI charges for their drunk driving accident.

Th couple agreed to enter the first-time offender program on Monday.  Both will lose their driver’s licenses for 60 days, but will have their records cleaned if they complete the probation program.

DUI accidents can cause the worst personal injuries.  Drunk-driving accidents also have a high probability of being fatal car accidents.  Our firm’s San Diego car accident lawyers believe that all drivers should be responsible on the road and never drink and drive.  That’s why we have created a DUI prevention resources page.  That way, if you see anyone who you believe to be driving drunk and heading towards an accident, you can pull over to the side of the road and call the police.
