A Folsom police officer is recovering from minor personal injuries and a woman is under arrest on suspicion of drunk-driving (DUI) after a collision about 10:45 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2009 that pinned the officer between parked two patrol cars.

Our firm’s San Diego auto accident attorneys know that alcohol endanger other drivers on the road, and after one drunk-driver got behind the wheel, she caused a car accident that injured a police officer.  It is a shame that an accident like this had to happen since DUI accident prevention is widely known now.

The drunk driver, a 55-year-old resident of Folsom, is under arrest on suspicion of felony DUI.  Preliminary tests showed she had a blood-alcohol concentration more than twice the legal limit, authorities said, possibly subjecting her to increased DUI penalties after the auto accident.

The experienced drunk-driving accident attorneys hope that you make the smart choice to avoid getting behind the wheel intoxicated, because you could end up causing a world of pain and suffering for you and everyone else on the road that you are endangering.

By getting behind the wheel after consuming alcoholic beverages, these impaired drivers knowingly endanger the lives of everyone else on the road, and the possibilities of a fatal car accident are very real.

Who knows how many lives that very decision can alter.
